Dolores Dolly, 78

Dolores was born on Nov. 16, 1929, to Harold and Irene Shimer. She grew up in Murdo, where she graduated from Murdo High School in 1948. She went on and attended Black Hills State University earning her teaching degree.

She was united in marriage to Leroy Dolly in Fort Pierre, on June 24, 1950. They made their home in Presho, where they farmed and ranched. She was known for her fantastic hospitality and her sense of humor. She was a great cook, and a wonderful grandmother and mother. Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, loving ways and Godliness.

Dolores is survived by all her dear friends of Lyman County and her family. She is survived by one son, William Dolly (Barbara), of Rapid City; one daughter, Renaye Kahler (David) of Rapid City; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Lane Dolly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; one son, Roland Dolly; one brother, Wayne Shimer, and her parents, Harold and Irene.
