Govs lose early lead in Huron

HURON — Despite a narrow, 6-0 lead, the Governors couldn’t close out the victory against a hungry, Huron Tiger football team. The Govs lost, 14-6, to the Tigers. Huron’s win snapped a 44-game losing streak.

Pierre gains experience from first competition

BROOKINGS — Pierre took 17 competitive cheerleaders to the Brookings Spirit Invite Saturday. The Lady Governors entered two teams in the competition: a stunting/tumbling small group team and a stunting/non-tumbling small group team. Three athletes participated on both teams: seniors Amy Miles and Samantha Bullard and freshman Tanna Becker.
