Rodney Selvig, 65

Former Pierre resident Rodney Peter Selvig died Oct. 21, 2009, of a sudden heart attack.

He was born May 12, 1944, in Pierre to Howard and Edna Selvig. He graduated from Riggs High School in 1962.

He married Jane Walker and moved to Alaska, spending many happy years as a commercial fisherman.

Ten years ago he remarried and relocated to California.

He will be missed.

" I grew up with Rodney in East Pierre, had many good times together as kids. Last saw him 40 plus years ago in Rapid City. Sorry to hear about his passing. "
