Irene Wipf, 97, died Nov. 2, 2009, at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home in Madison.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Methodist Church in Harrold, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.

Irene was born Sept. 28, to Ted and She married Andy Wipf on Sept. 28, 1930, in Blunt. Andy passed away March 25, 1975.

Irene worked at the Harrold School until her retirement. She stayed active in her church and was custodian there until 1999.

She loved to bake and garden. She loved to travel and was very active in the senior citizens center.

She lived in Harrold until July 2004, when she moved to Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home in Madison.

Grateful for having shared her life are sons, Gary and Clifford; sisters, Gladys Butler and Alvina Lands; sister-in-law, Dorris Donner (Porter); four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Orville and Lester; sisters, Hertha Schmidt and Ole Wipf; and grandson, Kevin Wipf.
