State-Tribal Relations Committee to meet Thursday

PIERRE — The South Dakota Legislature’s State-Tribal Relations Committee will hold its final meeting of the 2009 Interim at 9 a.m.,  Thursday at the Capitol, room 412.

The committee will hear presentations dealing with K-12 education and issues related to Native American education. Presenters include the South Dakota Department of Education, Pierre Indian Learning Center, Oceti Sakowin Education Consortium, Oglala Sioux Tribe and Tiospa Zina Trial School.

The meeting is open to the public.
