‘Fallen Heroes’ banners to be at National Guard museum

IERRE — The “Fallen Heroes” banner display will be featured Nov. 24-Dec. 23 at the South Dakota National Guard Museum, 301 E. Dakota Avenue in Pierre.
The banners were created in honor of South Dakota military personnel who lost their lives in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
“Having the banners on display at the National Guard Museum affords an opportunity for visitors traveling to Pierre to see the Christmas trees at the Capitol and the banners,” said Bob Kusser, manager of the museum.
Museum hours (all times Central) during November:
• Nov. 24-25, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Thanksgiving Day – Closed
• Nov. 27-28, Noon – 4 p.m.
• Nov. 29 – Closed
• Nov. 30, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During December, museum hours will be 9 a.m. – to 5 p.m. on weekdays, noon – 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
There is no charge for the museum.
