Getting his name out

One of my stories in today's paper was about a significant new multimillion-dollar marina/shopping/restaurant development planned for Fort Pierre.

I found out about the development, which should have a big impact on the local economy and recreation/shopping opportunities, at Thursday evening's meeting of the Fort Pierre Development Corp.

So far, routine local business news. The political subtext? One of the attendees at that meeting, along with civic and business leaders, was Fort Pierre resident and District 24 House candidate Tad Perry.

Perry didn't speak, just attending the dinner and mingling a little bit. But he's making a determined effort to meet people and be seen around town.
