The winter season for farm meetings is about to begin, kicking off Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 27 and 28 at the Pierre Ramkota. The 2012 Ag Horizons conference brings together farmers and agribusiness for two days of meetings, informative speakers and networking.
The theme for this year’s Ag Horizons is “Weathering Change.” One of the conference sponsor Randy L. Englund with the SD Wheat Commission believes this theme reflects the tone of today’s ag environment. “Change is happening in all aspects of farming. Not only are we seeing significant changes in the weather, but also other considerations in agriculture. How is the lack of a farm bill changing planting decisions? What is happening worldwide that will affect markets,” asks Englund?
