The Stanley and Hughes County Democratic Party invites local Democrats, Independents and Republicans to gather together this Thursday evening, Oct. 11, to view the U.S. vice presidential debate in the Fort Pierre AmericInn Teton Island Conference Center's Sand Bar Lounge.
Event organizer Bill Stevens said that following the successful first presidential debate last week and with the great reviews of the participants for the fresh popped corn and the hot pizzas along with the convenient cash bar provided by the AmericInn. People who attended the first U.S. presidential debate had asked to return to the Sand Bar Inn. Stevens also indicated that the first debate viewing party didn't have any partisan fights break out and since no damage was done to the Sand Bar, the General Manager Butch Johnston has kindly agreed to host us all again.
People are encouraged to bring their Republican, Independent and Democratic friends to join in this fun, interesting and informative evening together. Stevens has also announced that plans are also in the works to host such gatherings for the second 2012 U.S. presidential debate between President Obama and Gov. Romney on Tuesday, Oct. 16, and the third U.S. presidential debate on Monday, Oct. 22. Each of those are planned for the AmericInn.
