Each year, Oahe Electric Cooperative, Inc. selects a high school junior or senior from an area school to accompany other students from S.D. on an all-expense paid trip to our nation’s Capitol.

While in Washington D.C., these students learn how our government operates and have the opportunity to visit several landmarks.

Students also have the opportunity to win a trip to see the story behind the switch during a two-day tour to cooperatively owned energy production facilities in N.D.

It’s easy to enter. Just compose an essay of 500 words or less that answers the question, “How would you describe the value of your local cooperative to you and your immediate family?” and submit it to Oahe Electric Cooperative, Inc. by Feb. 15, 2013.
