Ex-punk rocker, professional talker and self-described “fading ‘80s alternative icon” Henry Rollins needled and charmed a Pierre audience this week. He spoke to more than 200 people Wednesday at Riggs High School at a low-key event that was part of his Capitalism tour — his chance to speak to audiences in all the state capitals this election year.

“I was in a band called Black Flag,” he told the audience, getting a few cheers in response. “You can read about us in the ancient books of Rock and Roll. You can find etchings of us in the Dead Sea Scrolls.”

It doesn't sound as though I missed anything monumental by not making it in person. I glad I didn't waste my time.
