A cold night from the field ultimately ended the Highmore-Harrold Pirates’ season Monday.

The Pirates shot just 25 percent during Monday’s District 4B Tournament game in Highmore, allowing Sunshine Bible Academy to take the first-round matchup by a score of 61-44.

The Pirates led by a point at the half, but Sunshine Bible Academy outscored them by 17 points in the third quarter and never looked back.

Hayden Houdek had a huge night for Highmore-Harrold in the loss with 17 points and 26 rebounds. Brian LaDue and Jaden Brockel each scored 20 for Sunshine Bible Academy.
