Kate Wollman and Micah Howard have each had big weeks, earning them the PACA/Avera athletes-of-the-week awards.

Wollman had a fantastic outing at the ESD-Conference Tournament as the senior earned a second-place finish in both singles and doubles.

The stellar outing at the ESD tournament gave Wollman a 12-1 record in conference play this year with her lone defeat in the ESD championship. Wollman will look to close her career in Pierre out with style this week at the state tennis meet.

Howard may turn out to be the fifth runner the Governors need to compete for a state title thanks to showing huge improvement throughout the season.

Howard’s improvement was shown in the results at the Watertown Watoma meet when he improved his personal record by five seconds.
