Amira Rodriguez, San Benito P/SS/UTL

Rodriguez tallied 11 RBI, three runs scored and three HRs — including two grand slams — in the Greyhounds’ 2-1 series victory over New Braunfels in the regional semifinals of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which featured a 9-7 win, a 12-9 loss and an 11-1 victory for San Benito.

Kaiya Fabela, Keller C

Fabela was 3-for-7 hitting (.429 AVG) with four RBI, three walks, a run scored, a home run and a .600 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Flower Mound in the regional semifinals of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, with a 2-1 win, a 3-0 loss and a 5-1 victory for Keller.

Abby Mosley, Decatur 1B/RF

Mosley was 6-for-10 hitting (.600 AVG) with five doubles, three RBI, three runs scored, a walk and a .545 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Dumas in the regional semifinals of the Class 4A UIL softball playoffs, with a 10-0 loss, a 6-5 win and a 3-0 victory for the Eagles.

Kasey Simmons, Langham Creek C/2B

Simmons was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with four extra-base hits, three doubles, two RBI, a runs scored, a home run, a walk and a .750 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Waco Midway in the regional semifinals of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, with a 10-0 victory and a 1-0 win for the Lobos.

Nia Sisneros, Colleyville Heritage C/SS/UTL

Sisneros was 4-for-6 hitting (.667 AVG) with five RBI, two extra-base hits, two walks, a run scored, a home run, a double and a .750 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of El Paso Hanks in the regional semifinals of the Class 5A UIL softball playoffs, with a 4-2 win and a 9-6 victory for the Panthers.

Haylie Stum, Cypress Bridgeland OF/P

Stum was 9-for-14 hitting (.643 AVG) with 10 RBI, five extra-base hits, three runs scored, four doubles, a home run and a .643 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Wylie in the regional semifinals of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, with a 5-2 loss, a 16-5 victory and a 10-1 win for Bridgeland.

Ava Brown, Montgomery Lake Creek P/1B/DH

Brown — a Florida Gators signee — picked up back-to-back wins in the circle after throwing two consecutive complete games in the Lions’ 2-0 series sweep of Barbers Hill in the regional semifinals of the Class 5A UIL softball playoffs, which featured a 1-0 win and a 5-3 victory in nine innings.

She threw for a one-hit shutout in Game 1 of Lake Creek’s regional semifinals series and then earned an extra-innings victory in the circle in Game 2, tallying 21 strikeouts, 11 hits allowed, three walks, three earned runs allowed and a .193 OBA in 16.0 innings pitched.

Madeline Haun, Smithson Valley P/1B

Haun was 4-for-9 hitting (.444 AVG) with five RBI, three extra-base hits, two runs scored, two walks, two HRs, a double and a .500 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Mercedes in the regional semifinals of the Class 5A UIL softball playoffs, with a 3-2 loss, an 11-1 win and a 4-0 victory for the Rangers.

She also earned a win in the circle after throwing for nine strikeouts, four hits allowed, one earned run allowed, zero walks and a .191 OBA in 6.0 innings pitched for Smithson Valley.

Mia Clemmer, Coahoma C

Clemmer was 2-for-4 hitting (.500 AVG) with two RBI, two runs scored, two HRs and a .500 OBP in an 8-3 win against Bushland in the regional semifinals of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs.

Avery Howerton, Whitesboro P

Howerton earned two wins in the circle in Whitesboro’s 2-0 series sweep of Queen City in the regional semifinals of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs, which featured a pair of 2-1 victories. In her back-to-back wins for the Bearcats, she threw for 12 strikeouts, nine hits allowed, four walks, two earned runs allowed and a .177 OBA in 14.0 innings pitched.

Addie Cox, Crawford OF/C/UTL

Cox was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with four RBI, four runs scored, two extra-base hits, a home run, a double, a walk, a stolen base and a .750 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Collinsville in the regional semifinals of the Class 2A UIL softball playoffs, with a 14-0 win and a 10-0 victory for the Pirates.

Kailey Boedeker, Shiner C/INF

Boedeker was 2-for-3 hitting (.667 AVG) with three RBI, two runs scored, two HRs, a walk and a .750 OBP in a 9-3 win against Granger in the regional semifinals of the Class 2A UIL softball playoffs.

Kylie Snell, Shelbyville UTL

Snell was 4-for-8 hitting (.500 AVG) with three runs scored, two RBI, two SBs, a triple, a walk and a .556 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Hawkins in the regional semifinals of the Class 2A UIL softball playoffs, with a 5-3 win and a 9-1 victory for the Dragons.

Brookelyn Taylor, Liberty P

Taylor earned a pair of wins in the circle in Liberty’s 2-0 series sweep of Burnet in the regional semifinals of the Class 4A UIL softball playoffs, which featured a 6-4 victory and a 3-1 win for the Panthers. She struck out 17 while allowing just one earned run through 13.1 innings pitched for Liberty.

Mya Cherry, Aubrey P

Cherry tossed two complete-game shutouts in back-to-back dominant starts in the circle, powering the Chaparrals to a pair of 1-0 victories and a 2-0 series sweep of Sulphur Springs in the regional semifinals of the Class 4A UIL softball playoffs. She threw for 20 strikeouts, six hits allowed, four walks and a .125 OBA in 14.0 scoreless innings pitched for Aubrey.

BASEBALL

Sam Erickson, Flower Mound OF

Erickson was 5-for-6 hitting (.833 AVG) with four runs scored, three RBI, three extra-base hits, a home run, a triple, a double, a walk and an .857 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Allen in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 6A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 10-0 win and a 6-1 victory for the Jaguars.

Brady Sullivan, Cypress Woods OF/P/1B

Sullivan — a Texas A&M Aggies commit — was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with five RBI, three runs scored, three extra-base hits, two doubles, a triple, a walk and a .750 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Klein Oak in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 6A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 10-0 win and a 15-0 victory for Cy Woods.

Tyler Ryden, League City Clear Springs P/INF

Ryden was 3-for-5 hitting (.600 AVG) with three RBI, three walks, a run scored and a .750 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Kingwood in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 6A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 4-0 loss, a 7-2 win and a 6-2 victory for Clear Springs.

He also picked up a win on the mound in Game 2 of the series after throwing for 12 strikeouts, three hits allowed, four walks, two earned runs allowed and a .143 OBA in 6.1 innings pitched for the Chargers.

Austin Flores, Pharr-San Jaun-Alamo 1B/OF/P

Flores was 3-for-5 hitting (.600 AVG) with three runs scored, three walks, two RBI, a double, a stolen base and a .750 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of/2-1 series victory over Laredo Alexander in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 6A UIL baseball playoffs, with an 8-4 win and a 9-1 victory for the Bears.

Keaton Schwestka, Grapevine SS/2B

Schwestka was 3-for-6 hitting (.500 AVG) with four runs scored, three SBs, two RBI, a walk and a .571 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Azle in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 5A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 6-5 win in 13 innings and a 10-0 victory for the Mustangs.

Carson Priebe, Frisco Wakeland P/INF

Priebe picked up a win on the mound after going the distance in Game 2 of Wakeland’s 2-0 series sweep of Mesquite Poteet in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 5A UIL baseball playoffs, which included a 5-1 victory and a 5-0 win.

He threw for 10 strikeouts, two walks, one hit allowed and a .045 OBA in 7.0 scoreless innings pitched for the Wolverines. Priebe was also 1-for-8 hitting (.125 AVG) with an RBI and a run scored for Frisco Wakeland offensively.

TJ McCraw, Wichita Falls P/OF

McCraw was 2-for-6 hitting (.333 AVG) with five RBI and two doubles in a 2-0 series sweep of Glen Rose in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 4A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 5-0 win and a 5-2 victory for Wichita Falls.

He also picked up a win on the mound after throwing for five strikeouts, two hits allowed, two walks, one earned run allowed and a .087 OBA in 6.2 innings pitched for the Coyotes.

RJ Ruais, Celina OF/P/1B

Ruais — a Baylor Bears signee — was 2-for-7 hitting (.286 AVG) with six RBI, three runs scored, two walks, a triple, a stolen base and a .444 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Life Waxahachie in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 4A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 9-0 win and a 14-4 victory for the Bobcats..

He also picked up a win on the mound after throwing for seven strikeouts, five walks, one hit allowed, one earned run allowed and a .077 OBA in 4.0 innings pitched for Celina.

JM Long, Texarkana Pleasant Grove SS

Long was 3-for-4 hitting (.750 AVG) with five runs scored, four walks, three RBI, two SBs and an .875 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Lindale in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 4A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 12-3 win and a 17-0 victory for Pleasant Grove.

Chris Perez, Taylor P/OF

Perez picked up a win on the mound after throwing a complete-game shutout in Game 1 of a 2-0 series sweep of Salado in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 4A UIL baseball playoffs, which featured a 5-0 victory and 4-2 win for Taylor.

He threw for 11 strikeouts, two hits allowed, three walks and a .087 OBA through 7.0 scoreless innings pitched. He was also 1-for-7 hitting (.143 AVG) with an RBI and a double for the Ducks offensively.

Jacquae Stewart, Sinton 1B/P

Stewarts was 2-for-3 hitting (.667 AVG) with three RBI, two runs scored, a home run, a walk, a stolen base and a .750 OBP for the Pirates in their 13-3 win against Pleasanton in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 4A UIL baseball playoffs.

Sawyer Strosnider, Brock P/LF

Strosnider was 4-for-6 hitting (.667 AVG) with six runs scored, five RBI, four walks, three HRs and an .800 OBP in a 2-0 series sweep of Holliday in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 3A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 4-3 win and a 20-7 victory for Brock.

He also picked up a win on the mound after throwing for three strikeouts, five hits allowed, four walks and three earned runs allowed in 3.2 innings pitched for the Eagles.

Kaden Brasher, Diboll C/P/3B/OF

Brasher was 3-for-9 hitting (.333 AVG) with four RBI, two runs scored, two extra-base hits, a triple, a double, a stolen base and a .300 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Woodville in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 3A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 6-5 loss in 13 innings, a 4-0 win and a 4-3 victory for the Lumberjacks.

He also started Game 3 on the mound and threw for four strikeouts, three hits allowed, four walks, one earned run allowed and a .136 OBA through 5.1 innings pitched for Diboll.

Johnny Slawinski, Johnson City OF/P

Slawinski was 5-for-11 hitting (.455 AVG) with three runs scored, two RBI, two doubles, two SBs, a walk and a .500 OBP in a 2-1 series victory over Burton in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 2A UIL baseball playoffs, with a 15-14 win, a 12-4 loss and a 6-1 win for the Eagles.

He also earned a win on the mound after a dominant start in the decisive Game 3 of the series, when he struck out 15 while allowing four hits, one earned run and no walks with a .160 OBA through 7.0 innings pitched for Johnson City.

Nico Partida, Pearland P/SS/3B/2B

Partida — an Arizona State Sun Devils commit — tossed a gem in Game 1 of the Oilers’ 2-0 series sweep of League City Clear Falls in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 6A UIL baseball playoffs, which included a 4-1 win and a 6-2 victory.

He went the distance on the mound, throwing for 11 strikeouts, three hits allowed, two walks, one earned run allowed and a .125 OBA in 7.0 innings pitched. Partida also had two RBI and a double at the plate for Pearland throughout the series.
