SD CARES HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SPECIALIST TEMPORARY FULL-TIME POSITION SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY DESCRIPTION: Performs routine administrative duties requiring independent judgement, analysis and decision-making skills as they relate to the SD CARES Housing Assistance Program (SDCHAP). The SDCHAP provides temporary financial assistance for rental, mortgage, or utility expenses for South Dakota residents who have been financially impacted due to COVID-19. This position will serve as a primary steward for answering applicant questions and aiding the general public as it pertains to SDCHAP. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have ability to communicate professionally and concisely, both orally and in writing. Must be able to outline, organize, and establish priorities in a very time sensitive environment. Proficient typing, data entry, and computer skills required. Successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; ability to review documents, forms, data, and files to ensure accuracy, completeness and approval; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; and 3-5 years of customer service and/or office experience beneficial. LOCATION: Pierre, SD STARTING WAGE: $30.00 per hour. Please note this is a temporary, non-benefited position, exempt from civil service. CLOSING DATE: January 22, 2021, 5:00 p.m.
