Pierre Orchestra's 11th Annual Concert is slated for Wednesday night with featured performances by Kate Lee Mullett, Grace Soma and Ellie Noyes, in addition to special guest performances by Rawlin's Piano Trio.Â
The Pierre Youth Orchestra's 11th Annual Season Concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the T.F. Riggs Theatre.
The concert will showcase performances by members of this year's graduating class.
Seniors Kate Lee Mullett, Grace Soma and Ellie Noyes will be joined on stage by Larry Johnson, Kim Smith, Steven Van Mullem, Kim Jacobs-Bowman and Dr. Randy Royer.
The concert will be conducted by Tina England.
Special guests include the University of South Dakota's Rawlins Piano Trio.
The musicians will perform pieces by Beethoven, Arensky, Haydn and Barns.
The students will also be covering Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and "Popular" from the Broadway musical, Wicked.
Students in the orchestra represent several communities in the capital city area and are from Pierre, Fort Pierre, Onida, Blunt, Midland, Gettysburg and Agar.
The event is open to the public, family friendly and a free will donation will be taken.
