The Stanley County Buffaloes volleyball team hosted the Chamberlain Cubs in the home volleyball opener at Parkview Gymnasium in Fort Pierre on Tuesday. The Buffs won 3-1. Set scores were 24-26, 25-18, 25-19 and 25-18.

Junior setter Olivia Chase led the Buffs with 22 assists, 18 digs and three aces. Senior middle hitter Carlie O’Conner had 12 kills, while senior libero Taylee Stroup had 15 digs. Sophomore outside hitter/middle hitter Cadence Hand had 16 digs and three aces.

The Buffs (3-0) have won their third straight game. It is their first three-game win streak in four years. The Buffs will play the Timber Lake Panthers (1-0) and White River Tigers (1-0) in a triangular at Parkview Gymnasium in Fort Pierre on Saturday. Games are scheduled to start at 1 p.m. CT.
