This week's Community Art features a stunning sunrise photographed by Lisa Stanley.
The vibrant colors reflecting off of the Missouri River truly paint a picture of beauty.Â
Cardinals congregate in the backyard of Heath and Jessica Deal of Fort Pierre.Â
Heath Deal was able to catch the group of cardinals, also known as a college or conclave.Â
At only eight years old, Matthew Edwards can spot the goose most worthy of a photo. While at Steamboat Park, Edwards snapped a shot of a Canadian goose at the perfect time. As a result, the goose appears as if it's running across the water.
The Capital Journal will publish the photos in Saturday's Dakota Life and online at capjournal.com. The Capital Journal also selects one photo to feature in the weekly South Dakota Outdoors magazine, published on Fridays. You can sign up for the weekly newsletter at capjournal.com under the "Outdoor" tabs to see who takes the Featured Photo of the Week.
