The Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors boys and girls soccer teams competed against the Brandon Valley Lynx in Brandon on Saturday. The Govs girls lost 3-0, while the Govs boys won 3-0.

For the boys game, senior Cole Peterson scored two goals while junior Rylan Derry scored one goal. Peterson has 15 goals this season, while Derry has 10 goals. Each player has 17 goals in their career, which breaks the school record set by Cole Cruse in 2015.

The Govs girls fall to 6-3, while the Govs boys improve to 5-3-1. They will next see action on Thursday against the Brookings Bobcats boys (2-5-1) and girls (1-6-1) at Fishback Soccer Complex in Brookings on Thursday. The boys game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. CT, while the girls game will start around 6 p.m. CT.
