Big tech regulations

As Congress returns to Washington this month, one of the things they are considering is radical antitrust legislation aimed at big technology companies. The House Judiciary Committee is suggesting that a successful business can be subjected to antitrust actions solely because of its size, regardless of the tools, platforms and benefits they provide consumers every day.

These bills would have a tremendous impact on the internet landscape and those businesses who use it to grow their business and reach new customers every day. They would limit the ability for companies to provide services that users have come to rely upon such as two-day shipping, see price comparisons as they shop, and even limiting google from offering Google Maps results alongside standard searchers. I trust our members of Congress will stand with small businesses and consumers and vote against this big government take over of the internet.
