The Lyman Raiders football team took to the road for the final time in the regular season when they played the Jones County Coyotes in Murdo on Friday. The Raiders won 54-0.

The Raiders led 48-0 at halftime. They put the finishing touches on their victory with a 70 yard touchdown run by Colton Collins in the fourth quarter.

Collins had 164 rushing yards on 11 carries and four touchdowns. Teagan Gourneau, Rory McManus and Shilo Mowry each added touchdowns.

The Coyotes (1-7, no. 14 ranked in Class 9B) will next see action against the Potter County Battlers (7-2, no. 3 ranked in Class 9B) on Thursday at the Gettysburg Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

The Raiders (7-1, no. 4 in Class 9AA) will next see action against the Stanley County Buffaloes (5-4, no. 13 in Class 9AA) on Thursday in Presho. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. The Raiders and Buffs did not play each other this season despite being located 45 minutes away from each other. They have not played each other in football since 2016.
