South Dakota High School Activities Association Executive Director Dan Swartos announced on Thursday that the SDHSAA Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on Friday at 11 a.m. CT.
The Board will participate via teleconference. The meeting audio will be live streamed on the SDHSAA website once the meeting begins.
Two things are on the meeting agenda. The Board will decide what the future holds for spring sports and activities such as All-State Jazz Band, Tennis, Track and Field and Golf. Suspended and postponed events such as State Basketball, State Visual Arts, Region Music and All-State Band will also have their futures decided.
As it stands currently, schools are closed through May 1. All SDHSAA spring sports practices and competitions are canceled through May 3, including the Howard Wood Relays.
